Description
A chilled, make-ahead salad built in colorful layers—lettuce, vegetables, eggs, cheese, bacon, and a creamy dressing spread on top. It stays crisp, looks beautiful in a glass bowl, and is perfect for parties, potlucks, and holidays.


Ingredients

  • 6–7 cups chopped romaine or iceberg lettuce

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

  • 1 cup cucumber, diced

  • 1 cup frozen peas, thawed

  • 4 hard-boiled eggs, sliced

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled

  • 1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced (optional)

Creamy dressing:

  • 1 cup mayonnaise

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 1 tablespoon sugar

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice or vinegar

  • Salt and pepper to taste
