Layered Salad

Instructions

  1. In a clear glass bowl, start with a base layer of chopped lettuce.

  2. Add tomatoes as the second layer.

  3. Add cucumbers.

  4. Add thawed peas.

  5. Add sliced eggs.

  6. Add red onion if using.

  7. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, sour cream, sugar, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.

  8. Spread the dressing evenly over the top of the salad, covering the entire surface to “seal” it.

  9. Sprinkle cheddar cheese over the dressing.

  10. Finish with crumbled bacon on top.

  11. Cover and chill for at least 2 hours or overnight.
