Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a skillet, cook the sausage until browned. Drain any excess fat.

  3. Add the cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, and cheddar (if using). Mix until smooth and combined.

  4. Unroll the crescent dough. If using triangles, pinch the seams to form rectangles, then cut into small squares.

  5. Place a small spoonful of the sausage mixture into each square.

  6. Fold and pinch the dough around the filling to form sealed bites.

  7. If using, brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.

  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
