Instructions

1. Bake the Cake

  • Prepare red velvet cake according to box directions.

  • Pour into a 9×13 pan and bake as directed.

  • Remove from oven and let it cool 5 minutes.

2. Poke the Cake

  • Use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the warm cake.

  • Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly on top so it sinks into the holes.

  • Let cake cool completely.

3. Add the Topping

  • Spread Cool Whip over the cooled cake.

  • Sprinkle with crushed candy canes, mini chocolate chips, or festive sprinkles.

4. Chill & Serve

  • Refrigerate at least 2 hours (best overnight).
